The gateway farm fixture!
We free-range dual purpose birds of the Australorp and Plymouth Rock varieties. We also offer some meat bird varieties.
Fresh eggs, meat, and chicks for sale based on availability. Contact for details!
Our main attraction & available now!
Microgreens are very young vegetable greens. They boast a 4-40 time more nutrient density than their adult counterparts.
We harvest ours just after the cotyledon leaves have developed (usually with one set of true leaves).
Chefs use colorful microgreens to enhance the attractiveness and taste of dishes with their distinct delicate textures and unique flavors, such as sweet and spicy.
They are great to use as raw sides or as additions to smoothies, salads, soups, and sandwiches!
We offer most varieties. We'll grow just about any! We specialize in growing Sunflower, Radish, & Peas. We will grow to suit any order. Based on availability. Contact for details!

We chose St. Croix hair sheep because of their unmatchable features including climate adaptability, parasite & hoof rot resistance, docile temperament, grazing preferences, continuity with Livestock Guardian Dogs, annual return on investment, and lamb-ability (also known to commonly produce twins).
They are great for meat or homestead/farmstead starter flocks! Based on availability. Will deliver. Contact for details!
Livestock Guardian Dogs
The farm favorite! Livestock guardian dogs (LGD) protect our livestock from predators, & thievery.
LGDs live with the flock/herd (instinctively bonded to them) from an early age.
Unlike "herding dogs" which control the movement of livestock, LGDs blend in with them and watch for intruders from within the flock.
LGDs will confront predators by vocal intimidation, barking, and displaying very aggressive behavior. The dog may attack or fight with a predator if it is unable to drive the predator away.
As pets, LGDs are generally large, independent, and protective. But, despite their size, they can be gentle, make good companion dogs, and are protective & loving towards children. Trained LGD'S will be available in 2022!

About Us...

Our farmstead journey began in February of 2020 just before the pandemic lockdown. My husband, Ryan, felt prompted to begin growing microgreens in our basement. We were already regularly buying these tiny, nutrient packed plants from our local farmer's market because we had experienced how beneficial they were for the health of our whole family. We especially noticed an impact for our son who has autism. He would eat piles of microgreens! This was a miracle because he normally would not eat any vegetables in their adult form due to texture issues. Because of Ryan's obedience to his calling, we were able to grow enough microgreens to feed our family during the pandemic shutdown. In fact, we had grown such an abundance that we were able to share with others! God is good!
The ability to share healthy microgreens with others at a time when food quantities in the store were uncertain drove us to want to do more. We felt called to buy the chickens, the sheep, and the guardian dogs. So we did... We also feel called to expand to include cows, goats, pigs, and fish. And in the future we will.
I, Tiffany, grew up on the farm and am currently a nurse working in the operating room. Ryan grew up in Dearborn Heights. He dabbles in the auto industry, but he spends most of his time raising our four young children (with one on the way!) and stewarding the farmstead. Neither of us would have said a few years ago that we saw ourselves being farmers. But, here we are! This lifestyle is more than just a hobby, it is a calling! We have become passionate about the plants and animals. We look forward to helping anyone who wants to join us in our journey either as customers or as fellow homesteaders/farmsteaders... We are here to serve you in any way that we can. Blessings!
